May 25, Last School Bell Celebration

Last school bell is one of the most important celebrations for school leavers in Russia. This is the very “last bell” for those who are finishing school this year. It is a traditional ceremony in the schools of Russia and some other post-Soviet countries. A symbolic last bell is traditionally rung by a first-year primary school pupil.

National Flag Day in Russia

National Unity Day

The 4th of November is a National Unity Day in Russia. Unity Day was introduced by the Kremlin in 2005 to replace the communist holiday of November 7 celebrating the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution. November 4 now marks the liberation of Russia from Polish-Lithuanian invaders in 1612.
