Experience festive winter holidays in the capital of Russia.

The largest winter festival is held in Moscow every year from mid-December till mid-January encompassing the most prominent city attractions. This year theme is “European Christmas Traditions”. Theatre performances, ballet, light shows, master classes, winter games, food markets will be held in 81 venues this year. These are just a few from the long list:

  • Christmas Market on Red Square.

You will see flamboyant decorations, lights, an antiques, art and souvenirs market with traditional Russian food and drinks.

  • 15 skating rinks, including Novopushkinsky Square Ice Theater and Revolution Square Ice Theater.

The biggest and the most beutiful rinks are on Tverskaya Square, VDNH and Sparrow Hills. Some venues will even have ice shows.

The most prominent Russian figure skater, a four-time Olympic medalist, stages Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, The Snow King, and Kings and Queens of the Ice at Revolution Square.  The shows will be held almost every day till January, 12.

  • Music performances at Zaryade park.

You can attend the performance of Russian and foreign stars at most modern park of the capital. The concerts will be held from 2 to 3 pm and from 6 to 7 pm.
