The new train will take you from Tallinn to Saint Petersburg in 4.5 hours.

The Estonian State Railway Eesti Raudtee and the Russian Railways have announced the launching of a new high-speed train between Saint Petersburg and Tallinn. The route will take just 4.5 hours including the formalities on the border. Right now the journey on the train between Tallinn and St. Petersburg takes 8 hours, it reaches the final stop, Moscow, in 18 hours.

The Russian Railways will also take under consideration the suggestion of Eesti Raudtee to elaborate a project on simplification of visa requirements for train passengers.
