Pulkovo International Airport in St. Petersburg has become more convenient for transit passengers with Aerosleep Capsule Hotel.

If you have several hours to kill between your flights you can now rest at Aerosleep Capsule Hotel located on the second floor of the Pulkovo Airport building. The hotel has 13 pods with a king-size bed large enough to accommodate two adults and a child. Design of the hotel reminds a spaceship which is appropriate as the capsules are equipped with everything necessary for a long and comfortable rest. Each pod, besides linen, pillows and blankets, has an individual fan system, mirror, safe, TV, occasional table, alarm clock, USB port, socket, entertainment center and free Wi-Fi.
However, if there is more than several hours between your flights we suggest you to get a transit visa and use your time in Russia to your advantage. Transit visas are normally valid for maximum of 3 days if traveling by air and are easy and inexpensive to get. Three days, of course, are not nearly enough to see everything St. Petersburg has to offer, but at least you can get a taste.
