Russkie Prostori and The Ritz-Carlton Moscow organized a culinary event at Ecole Ritz Escoffier in Paris for MICE agencies.


One can talk endlessly about the beauty of Russia, but a keen traveler knows that listening about it is far less exciting than tasting it. Last week Russkie Prostori Destination Management Company and The Ritz-Carlton Moscow, one of the most luxurious hotels in the country, introduced the best of the best of Russian cuisine to the representatives of MICE agencies in Paris. At Ecole Ritz Escoffier, the world famous culinary school, the guests took part in a culinary master-class and prepared Beef-Stroganoff, crabs from Kamchatka and a Russian honey cake, "Medovik", a favorite a desert of the wife of Alexander I, a Russian emperor. Vodka tasting was also a part of the program.
It should be against the law to travel to Russia without trying the true local cuisine. Especially when there is so many incentive activities that involve various culinary master-classes. The national dishes are a part of the culture and there is a legend behind almost every one of them. For example, “Medovik” was invented by a bold Russian cook and presented to the wife of Alexander I. The legend says the cake was so divine that it became the favorite desert of the empress who had detested honey before.
