One of the greatest concert halls in Russia will welcome the most outstanding foreign and Russian musicians on December 14-24.

Festival "Arts Square" revives the societal traditions of the winter season in St. Petersburg of the XIX century. In the summer it was customary to leave St. Petersburg, and all cultural and social life in this city occurred precisely in the winter, around the holidays of New Year and Christmas. Society receptions, balls, theaters and concerts, opened their doors to the public who gathered at this time in the city.

At the turn of the millennium, in 1999, on the initiative of Maestro Temirkanov, artistic director of the St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic the First International Winter Festival "Arts Square" was held. Since then, every year in December, the Arts Square lights up with the Winter Festival, uniting the Philharmonic, Mikhailovsky Theatre, the Operetta Theatre, the Russian Museum and the Grand Hotel Europe in a unique cultural project. In 2017 XVIII International Winter Festival "Arts Square" will again welcome musicians and ballet dancers from all over the world. So if you are a passionate connoisseur of classical music or an admirer of ancient imperial Russia Russkie Prostori is ready to create an atmosphere of XIX century around you during the prestigious music festival in Russia.
