A new passenger port will be constructed in St. Petersburg, Rybatskoye, by 2021.

According to the officials of the transport development committee, the concept of the new port will be presented by December this year. It will be constructed in the Southern part of the city, by Rybatskoye metro station and comprise the necessary infrastructure as well as entertainment areas.

St. Petersburg is becoming more and more attractive as a cruise destination. The current sea passenger port of St. Petersburg, Marine Facade, was completed in 2011. The volume of passenger traffic increased by 35 percent in the past 7 years. One of the crucial factors is a visa free entry applied for all the cruise and ferry passengers for 72 hours.
