Finally, guests from South Africa can visit Russia visa-free!

Gradually Russia moves towards simplification of visa formalities, it is already visa free for plenty of countries. And we are so happy that from now on travel to Russia for South African citizens is more convenient with visa free regime. The same regulations go for Russian citizens visiting South Africa. The statement of the the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation says: "Under the Protocol's provisions, citizens of Russia and South Africa traveling without the intention of working, studying or living in the other country's territory, are free from visa requirements." We are looking forward to welcoming new guests from South Africa in our frosty but warm-hearted Russia.

Maybe in the near future, we will get more pleasant news from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In January this year, Russia already simplified visa regime with Japan, providing Japanese citizens multi-entry tourist visas valid for up to six months. Also 2018 FIFA World Cup holders of tickets for matches of the championship will be able to enter Russia without a visa with personalized card of viewer and national passport from 4 June to 25 July 2018. And if you would like to visit Russia, but do not want to complicate your travel arrangements please note that since 2009 visa-free regulations are applied for all the cruise and ferry passengers who arrive to the country for no longer than 72 hours.
