Russian Airports Named the Best in Europe
Sheremetyevo, Pulkovo and Sochi were named the Best Airports in Europe by Airports Council International (ACI)
According to the surveys conducted by the ACI among 550.000 passengers across 80 countries worldwide during 2015 the three airports in Russia were namecd the best in Europe. The award has many categories depending on the passenger flaw, the size of the airport, and the region it is located. Sheremetyevo Pulkovo and Sochi got the first place in several of them: The Best Airport by Region (over 2 million passengers per year) and The Best Airport by Size and Region (Europe): 2-5 million passengers per year - Sochi; 5-15 million passengers per year - Pulkovo; 25-40 million passengers per year - Sheremetyevo. As the ACI stated, "The results represent the world's best in class airports where improving customer experience is concerned - appraised by passengers while they are traveling and the experience is fresh in their minds". Travelers always take into account efficiency, cleanness, duty free shops, restaurant, curtesy of staff, amenities.
All the three airports also have a very easy transport accessibility. It takes about 40 minutes to get there from the city center. Sheremetyevo and Sochi offer a very comfortable speed train leaving every 40. Pulkovo has a bus every 5 minutes leaving from the nearest metro station. Airport is the first and the last thing you see when going to a different country, and Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sochi will make the best impression.
