Kaliningrad is a fascinating city located separately from Russia and surrounded by Lithuania, Poland and the Baltic Sea. It is one more FIFA destination that was visited by Anna Guskova.

Kaliningrad is a very beautiful city that is situated separately from Russia, between Lithuania and Poland. Its history begins in the 1255 when the Teutonic Knights built a fortress there during the Northern Crusades. Since then the city belonged to different countries and thus it incorporates features of German, Scandinavian and Russian cultures, making it a truly unique place. You can walk along the ancient streets with world famous German brew-houses and dine in an ancient castle. It also has lots of opportunities for leisure, incentive and business groups offering participation in knight’s tournaments, quests in bastilles on the shore of the Baltic Sea and many other activities.

Local airport that is situated just 20 min ride from the city center is getting renovated to welcome guests of the FIFA Championship. Kaliningrad has representatives of hotels of international chains, such as Radisson Royal and Ibis. Marriott and Domina will open their doors very soon as well as a huge new sport stadium.

Among other things most of all Anna liked the Museum of World Ocean where she got a chance to go inside a real submarine and the Amber Museum where she saw the biggest piece of amber in the world (weight- 4 kg). The white beach of Svetlogorsk located in the suburbs (only 30 min ride from the city) is also a very nice place by the sea, great for both incentive and business trips.

Kaliningrad is one of the most popular places for incentive programs among Russian corporate clients.  #russkieprostori DMC will be happy to send you more information on the city and assist you with a program in any FIFA destination.
