With the height of 1 770 feet (540 m) Ostankino is the tallest tower in Europe and now it offers tours where you can see the city from bird's eye view.

Ostankino Television and Radio Tower was designed by Nikolai Nikitin and constructed in 1967 to celebrate the 50th year anniversary of the October Revolution in Russia. At that time is was the tallest towers in the world until CN Tower was built in Toronto. Today Ostankino is a member of the World Federation of Great Towers and occupies the 8th position in the list of tallest freestanding structures in the world.

The tour includes a visit to the tower museum with its collection of radio and TV technology and communication devices of the Soviet times of the 1940-1970-s, you will find out about the history of the tower, its architectural peculiarities, and technical features. Elevator will take you up to the observation platform which is at the level of 337 meters; the lift takes less than one minute. A bar is located at one of the top floors and offers cocktails and snacks for its visitors.
