Russian government will introduce simplified low-cost e-visas in January 1, 2021 to travel to all the regions of Russia.

Now, tourists from 53 countries can obtain the e-visa, but travel only to St. Petersburg, its suburbs and the Russian Far East. The list of the countries to which the new offer will be available is not yet determined, but most probably, it will include the same 53 nationals - citizens of the European Union, a number of Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern and Latin American nations.

Visitors will have to apply for their e-visa no later than 4 days before their arrival. It will be valid for 60 days, with a maximum stay of 16 days.
